This abbreviation stands for – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. In the year 2018 on 6th September, consensual gay sex was legalized in India under the section of 377. This national movement demanded a change in fashion and trends. A change of uniqueness, a change of pride, a change of unity and love.
‘Artha’ is a fashion event that takes place in Pune every year debuting the unusual ideas of the young fashion designer. ‘Artha’ 2018, focused on socialism and amongst many themes ‘LGBTQ’ was one. With a very thought of ‘fashion for all’, I participated as a stylist.
LGBTQ, clothing line consisted of 12 eloquent garments. Radiance of bright colours and shimmery silhouettes enlightened the ramp. Pride colours were the key components of this theme and hence the models wear accessorised in rainbow colours. From the headgear to makeup and footwear everything was painted with VIBGYOR palette. Indeed it was a great experience.
